More than 100 Knox College student-athletes were named to the Midwest Conference's Academic All-Conference list for the 2016-17 academic year and athletic season. The criteria to become an Academic All-Conference selection includes a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.33, which is calculated only in the awarded academic year. First-year students, sophomores, juniors, and seniors who letter in any of the MWC's fall, winter or spring sports are eligible for the award. Several of the honorees were recognized for the academic achievements while playing more than one sport.
Each member school in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin selects student-athletes from each of the three sport seasons (fall, winter, spring) to be honored as Academic All-Conference members. To be eligible, an individual must have an overall grade point average of 3.30 or above and must have lettered in their respective sport for that season. These are the spring and winter sport recipients.
The Iowa State University College of Human Science's Dean's List honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the spring semester of 2017.
A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Students from Trine University's main campus were named to the President's List for the Spring 2017 semester. To earn President's List honors, main campus students must complete a minimum of 15 hours and have a grade point average of 3.750-4.000.
Each year, the Carthage Music Department holds its most prestigious music event, the Honors Recital, as a celebration of the excellent work done by its students. The students selected are honored as the best performers of the year. The recital's participants are chosen through a highly selective audition process. In order to be selected for the event, musicians must show mastery in their given instrument and choose a music that is self-contained, in that it focuses on a particular composer or theme.

Carthage held the seventh annual Celebration of Scholars event on Friday, April 28, 2017. Celebration of Scholars is a poster exhibition that features original research, scholarship, and creative work completed by Carthage students.
Paranoia, infidelity, and lechery take center stage in racuous bedroom farce "A Flea in Her Ear," a hysterical cocktail of chaos that could only have been devised by the master of comic stagecraft, Feydeau. The production runs April 27-30, 2017, and is directed by Rockford University Professor of Performing Arts Deborah Mogford.
University of Iowa Dance Marathon is a student-run philanthropy that creates and sustains special projects to provide emotional and financial support for pediatric oncology and bone marrow transplant patients and their families treated at University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. More than 2,600 students participated in 2017 University of Iowa Dance Marathon.
